How does the artist open themselves to and interpret the agency of non-living entities in an era where the lines between technological and biological are increasingly becoming blurred and difficult to distinguish? Our present moment calls for a radical change in our relationship to a living-centered world where living beings are the actors of supreme agency. Non-living actors are already working, and often more effectively shaping the world in their own ways. I will show how the artist can become more attuned to the emotional and sensorial registers of these materials through deliberately engaging a process of glitching and remixing.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
