Some Other Places We've Missed utilizes photography to connect imprisoned men and women to their alienated past while creating space for community dialogue, exchange, and political action. During a series of workshops incarcerated individuals respond to the prompt, "If you had a window in your cell, what place from your past would it look out to?" These specific locations are photographed and an image is given to the incarcerated participants. When exhibited the project utilizes the images as a humanistic starting point to bring together a multidisciplinary group of scholars, policy makers, community activists, and former/current prisoners.
