This practicum addresses two issues crucial to photographic education: curriculum design and the education of educators. The practicum begins with a review and discussion of the current photography curriculum and how it came to be. This will be followed by an extended and detailed description of the unstated values communicated to students that in their accumulation, form what I term "The Hidden Curriculum." The final part of the practicum will address the fact that although graduate students often include "teaching" in their vocational goals, seldom are they taught how to approach the art and science of teaching in a coherent and indeed conscious, manner.
