Leilani Wertens received a BA in art history and print journalism
from the University of Southern California and is completing
her MFA in photography at Columbia College Chicago. She
has worked as a curatorial assistant at the Happy Lion gallery in
Los Angeles and received a J. Paul Getty multicultural grant to
fund a conservation project at the LA Public Library. Currently
working as a teaching assistant at Columbia, Wertens recently was
a recipient of an Albert P. Weisman grant and the Iris and Stuart
L. Baum completion grant.
