Muhlenberg College Art Department invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor studio art position in photography. As a selective liberal arts institution, Muhlenberg emphasizes excellent teaching in a student-focused environment where faculty teach a 3/3 course load. MFA in photography required by date of hire. Applicants should demonstrate an ability to teach digital photography at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels. Knowledge of analog process and experience with related media (i.e. performance, installation) and/or interdisciplinary collaborations is preferred. Studio art faculty at Muhlenberg are required to be consistently and effectively engaged in professional activity, with an ongoing commitment to presenting their work in public venues. Faculty are expected to perform college service in the form of academic advising, shared governance, and other points of engagement.

Allentown is a diverse city of 116,000, and along with Bethlehem and Easton, anchors the third-largest metropolitan area in Pennsylvania.
