New Photography Textbook by SPE Member Katie Stern
PHOTO 1: An Introduction to the Art of Photography, authored by SPE member Katie Stern, is now available through Delmar Cengage Learning. Understanding the need of educators to address both aesthetic and technical issues in the classroom, this book covers the how and why of creating photographs. Through strong visual examples and artist statements from photographers around the world, PHOTO 1 encourages students to make photographs that are both technically sound and thought provoking. Unique among other introductory photography books, this text also introduces students to copyright law and best business practices for photographers.
