Scott Hilton received his BA ('91) at the University of Nevada, Reno and his MFA ('05) at California State University, Fullerton. He is currently Senior Lecturer in Photography at the University of Texas at Arlington. His speciality is Alt Process photography, with an emphasis in Wet Collodion. "Project Barbatype," a collaborative effort with SPE member Bryan Wing, photographs the men and women who compete in the international circuit of Beard and Moustache Competitions. Project Barbatype has displayed work in numerous solo and group shows across the US, including the SRO Gallery in Lubbock TX, the Center for Fine Art Photography in Ft. Collins CO, the Orange Coast College Photography Gallery in Costa Mesa CA, and Beefhaus in Dallas, TX. Scott currently serves as the Chair of the South Central Chapter of SPE.
