Roni Aviv is a lens-based artist, living in Brooklyn, New York where she is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Brooklyn College and the College of Staten Island. Aviv works with photography, text, and mark making to give form to a psychological space of re-processing experiences. Aviv holds an MFA in Visual Arts from Columbia University. Recent exhibitions include CEPA Gallery, The Bronx Museum, The Center for Book Arts, Real Art Ways, Longwood Art Gallery, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Steve Turner Gallery, and The Jewish Museum. Aviv has been published in BOMB, GRANTA, and Erev Rav magazines. Further, Aviv is a grant recipient of Artis Contemporary (2021) and the Foundation for Contemporary Arts (2024). Recent residencies and fellowships include NARS (2021), the Center for Book Arts (2022), AIM Bronx Museum fellowship (2023), Centrum Residency (2024), and ProjectArt (2024-25).
