Life and death have always fascinated me. Shortly after the loss of my father I felt a need to explore deeper, more personal themes by turning my attention inward. My instincts led me to posing dolls with carefully chosen props in natural light. These constructed scenes became a catharsis, helping me to keep depression at bay. My process was organic and at times impulsive, creating symbolic images that expose my innermost self while releasing my grief.
