Kaisernacht
Kaisernacht, or Night of the Kaiser is centered around the various symbols of industry of St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana. In a landscape overshadowed by refineries, a defining symbol is the Kaiser smokestack, a 500-foot-tall decomissioned aluminum smokestack that can be seen for miles. In the deeply conservative Parish, the concept of god has been replaced by mammon and the industrial machine. This series is a reflection on that.
