Past Personified

My works personifies the idea of past and the self. We are just travelers on the path of life. Our existence was gained from being born in this world. We are the center of our own universe like I am of mine. Each Human is just an object and yet they are unwilling to disclose their identity. Our identities are connected to our past. Everyone has two faces to their past, one is rendered dark with examples of shame and humiliation that they do not want to expose or accept, while the other is captured with light that fills them with pride and praise. There is a need to embrace the light and hide the dark. However, detaching from the dark past is not an option because it is our identity. If both the past do not exist then neither will the individual. My works are an attempt to capture these feelings and state of mind where the dark and light constantly conflict each other. These ideas are exaggerated in most cases and sometimes left a little absurd so its open for the audience to connect with them. Some how for me specifically my works are a meditative space where paradoxes exist naturally.
