Polaroids

These instant photographs are collected into a container which is shuffled and pulled from to create randomized grids of fading memories of place and of time. The core traits of memories and their imperfections is captured in the polaroid's print, and emphasized in the installations of this work.



The installation is variable, changing in stature to the means of the space it is installed in. This work is constantly growing, re-shaping itself as I collect these physical manifestations of memories.



This work was first exhibited in 2023 in my MFA thesis exhibition. It has since has selections of the installation shown at East Manning Projects in Providence, RI and Behind VA Shadows in Cambridge, MA.
