2021-2024
Perennial is a visual exploration of the sense of placelessness felt during travel. It attempts to render distance to be infinite and negligible, or a perpetual state of in-between.
This work was first exhibited in my MFA thesis at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2023. The exhibition included 11 archival pigment prints and a book maquette containing 61 images from the broader pool of work.
Selections of this work have since been exhibited with MidwestNice Art in Aberdeen, SD, East Manning Projects in Providence, RI, Loosen Art in Rome, IT, and Illinois State University Gallery, Normal, IL.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
