Christophe Katrib is an award-winning artist/filmmaker and professor with an MFA in Photographic & Electronic Media from the Maryland Institute College of Art. His practice spans 16mm film, video, photography, sound/music, and installation art. He has participated in several film festivals, collective exhibitions, and artist residencies in the U.S. and around the world. His 2024 short film "This Dissonance" received over twenty festival selections and won the Jury Award for Best Experimental at the New Orleans Film Festival and Best Documentary at the Beirut Shorts International Festival in 2025. Christophe has taught filmmaking at the University of California, Riverside since 2019. His work as an artist and educator is guided by a commitment to truth, authenticity, and amplifying misrepresented or erased voices. His teaching empowers students to reflect their lived realities and engage critically with the world around them.
