Barbara J. Dombach, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Millersville University, Millersville, Pennsylvania and is a self-taught photographic artist with over thirty five years of photographic experience and knowledge. She has exhibited in eleven solo exhibits, countless juried group exhibits and has been published in numerous publications.
Her images have won prestigious awards and merits; Finalist in Critical Mass Photolucidia, Portland, Oregon in 2018, 2017 and 2013, Artist in Residency, Acadia National Park 2003 and an Artist Grant, Lancaster City, PA 1992.
Images from her portfolios have been published in Jill Enfield's Guide to Photographic Alternative Processes and magazines including; Square, Seities, Photo Techniques, The Hand, Imprints and Diffusion. She has been a featured artist on The Studio Q Show LIVE! S02 E03, March 26, 2017 and the Film Photography Podcast Oct. 2011.
She has over 12 years of experience teaching adult photographic education classes and workshops and has lectured at gallery openings and events.
Dombach is a member of The Society for Photographic Education, Alternative Photography International Organization and supports local arts in her community as a member of the Lancaster County, PA Art Association
