This portfolio stems from a collaborative project with three different biologists at the University of Wyoming. It consists of three parts: camera trapping, still life specimen photography and documentation of a taxidermist at work. The first part was a collaborative project with Jonny Armstrong, a skilled camera trapper who is now an Assistant Professor in Biology at Oregon State. The second was a collaboration with Beth Wommack, the director of the University of Wyoming's specimen collection. The final project worked with Professor Kevin Monteith, also of the U of Wyoming, who also works as a taxidermist.
Together, all there projects explore different ways that humans interact with, manipulate, study and control wild animals in Wyoming.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
