The works in this series originated from small cyanotypes of natural landscapes. Some of the photo murals feature a 22-inch-diameter cut-out that serves as a viewing device, allowing one to literally look through the image to the other side. Looking through the cut-out serves as a telescoping device, an optical shift between "real" nature and photographed nature. It also functions as a metaphor, puncturing nature by cutting through the image.
These works have been installed in trees, on the sides of buildings, and in galleries. They are versatile works that can be installed outside and inside a gallery setting.
