2 Day Workshop
Join Connecticut photographer Jessica Somers in an immersive workshop that takes you on a creative journey to discover and define your unique photographic style. The focus will be on photography as a fine art and a form of self-expression. You will explore personal perspectives through guided writing sessions, introspective exercises, and group discussions. The workshop will culminate in a hands-on photography session where you will craft an image that represents your photographic style. The objective of this workshop is for you to cultivate a personally meaningful visual narrative and to learn methods for sustaining a creative photographic practice.
Workshop attendees should come to this course with some photography experience. A camera is required for the second day of the workshop. It is recommended that participants work in a digital format for the workshop so that photographs can be completed within the time constraints of the session. The concepts covered in this workshop, however, apply to both analog and digital photographic methods. While not required, a laptop with Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop installed is recommended for the second day of the workshop.
