2017 FotoFilmic//Village
FotoFilmic Village is a high quality, small-group workshop retreat series designed to boost the creative practice of growing photographers in an intimate format bringing together 3 of today’s most acclaimed figures of contemporary photography on Bowen Island’s idyllic natural settings a mere 3 miles away from Vancouver, BC, Canada: scheduled from June 5 to June 8, 2017, FotoFilmic Village will give the opportunity to 12 photographers to closely work with MARK STEINMETZ, SHANE LAVALETTE & PAUL SCHIEK.
Organized in 3 small groups to optimize individual attention these 3 workshops will provide a strong advancement platform for photographers committed to the medium. Each guest artist will offer a workshop closely tied to his specialization & tailored to a different focus: “The Lyrical Documentary” with Mark Steinmetz, “The Art of the Application” with Shane Lavalette and “Image, Context and Sequence: Making a Photobook" with Paul Schiek.
