B&W Darkroom Basics Class

This class is for anyone who needs instruction on getting started with hand-processing and printing B&W film, or for those who would like a refresher course after a long absence from darkroom work.

This course will take place over two sessions, from 10:00 to 1:30 PM on Saturday, May 10 and from 12:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 11.

The first session will cover: B&W film developing and printing contact sheets of the negatives.

The second session will cover: Printing photos from negatives in the darkroom.

Students should bring TWO rolls of shot standard B&W film to the first class -- preferably 24-exposure rolls of 35mm film.

For the second class session, students will need to bring a package of photographic paper -- more info will be provided at the first class session.

Cost for this course, which will be limited to 8 participants, is:

$105.00 for Print Room members
$120.00 for non-members

To register, please call the Print Room at: 216-401-5981, or email info@clevelandprintroom.com.

Again, CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED TO 8 STUDENTS, so register now!

This class may also be taken "a la carte" - If you are interested only in developing film and making contact sheets of your negatives, just register for the first session and pay only $55 ($60 for non-members) for the 3-1/2 hour course; or register just for the second session where the focus is on printing, a 4 hour class for only $55 ($60 for non-members).

Let us know ahead of time if you wish to attend either day as we do have a class limit. Please remember to show up with your shot film (first session) or negatives/photo paper in hand (second session)!

Call Shari at 216-401-5981 with any questions.
