Artist Talk with Cleveland Foundation Creative Fusion Artist-in-Residence, Chin-pao Chen of Taiwan
Chin-pao Chen, member of The Cleveland Foundation's Creative Fusion artist residency program, will speak in our gallery about his work this Saturday, May 3 at 2:00pm. This Taiwanese artist will discuss his documentary portraiture, "A Moment of Beauty: Betel Nut Girls," as well as his recent projects. "Circumgyration" deals with "pseudo memory" by taking fragments of memories from students and parents, as students reenact the scenes of memory before his lens. He will also discuss "Heaven on Earth" a series of photographs of shrines, houses and graves that depict Taiwan as a land shared by gods, humans and ghosts.
