Nate Mathews will present images from his photographic series Nuclear Policy. In this work he investigates various U.S. government sites that remain from the Cold War. The site purposes include defensive and offensive missile silos, threat detection radar, nuclear material research and production, and continuity of government. He will discuss the history of the sites, their current state, and post-Cold War tourism.
The Chazen is located at 750 University Avenue on the UW Madison campus. Admission is free. The museum is open to the public.
