"Low Tech / High Fun: Community Outreach through Pinhole Photography"
René West is an award-winning educator in community outreach. She teaches at Amarillo College, serves on the Photography Society for the Amarillo Museum of Art, and is the curator of Southern Light Gallery. Her photographs have appeared in over 100 one-person and invitational group exhibitions across the United States. West will discuss creating an annual event for Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day as an in-service learning project for students, and a fun community outreach for kids age 5 to 90.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
