Raised in the Southern United States, André Ramos-Woodard (b. 1994) is a Houston-based artist who uses their work to accent the repercussions of contemporary and historical discrimination. His art conveys ideas of communal and personal identity, influenced by their direct experience with life as a queer African American.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
