Landscapes Alike: Perceptions of Practice from Teacher/Student to the Present
Susan Morelock is an artist whose practice is compelled at once by beauty and theory. Her photographs have been widely exhibited in venues across the United States as well as in Italy and South Korea. Her work has been published online and in-print, including in The New Yorker and Buzzfeed News. Morelock has lived in upstate New York, Chicago, three of the five New York City boroughs, and a small city in southern Indiana. Along the way she earned a BFA in photography from Rochester Institute of Technology, an MA in visual and critical studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an MFA from Columbia University. She currently resides in Pennsylvania where she is an Assistant Professor of Photography and Media at Moravian College.
