Pigeons. We love them, we hate them, but we know so little about them. As a native New Yorker forever surrounded by pigeons, I frequently wondered about them. In 2008 I set out to answer my own query by photographing this mostly unloved feathered creature. I discovered that pigeons are not only lovely and adored by many devoted fanciers; but also the most clever and diverse bird species in the avian world.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
