With a fierce urgency of now, we must face the ecosystems that we constantly disrupt and destroy; the nature our own lives also depend on. The Terra Forma series seeks to re-ignite our relationship to the natural world, a relationship that is too often subliminal and ignored after years of separating ourselves with climate controlled lodging and impervious surfaces. Beginning with a sensing of place, I restrict myself to the natural materials onsite for each form, a rearrangement of what is already there to promote a more intimate connection to the system that sustains us. These forms are created in places where people circulate 'outside' to encourage others to feel the air that is, the leaves that tremble, and the earth beneath our feet.
