I was born and raised in Mexico City, where worked in the entertainment industry. Learning English in the US as an adult gave me a unique perspective on the language's nuances. I employ video, performance and photography in the way the mass media does, using humor and wit to delve into issues of immigration, cultural stereotypes, identity and being bilingual.
I received my MA from CSU Northridge in 2013, and am currently a Master of Fine Arts candidate at CSU Long Beach through December 2017. I teach photography at CSU Northridge and Moorpark Community College.
