Jennifer Litterer-Trevino received her MFA in photography from Columbia College in Chicago in May, 2007. She earned her BA in Journalism and Theatre at the University of Iowa in December, 2002. She was born and raised in Dougherty, Iowa.
Currently Jennifer lives in Austin, TX and teaches at the Art Institute of Austin as an assistant professor of photography. The classes she teaches ranges from fundamentals, lighting and story telling. Her teaching philosophy is “learning by doing.” She structures her classes to have hands on element that practices the photographic theories and techniques. She encourages her students to create photos that excel technically and conceptually.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
