Maude Everly (M. E.) Series is a fictional narrative about the disillusionment of expectations. The project began with a pair of wooden hands and has evolved into images of me posing in front of the camera. I used the wooden hand to represent a shell of a person that is investigating social expectations. In a Pinocchio-like fashion, Maude slowly becomes a real person as I have digitally transformed my own hands into a pair of wooden hands. These digital composites represent Maude’s awaken into the mundane everyday.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
