https://www.ingzcollective.org/ Natalie Zelt is currently Researcher in the African & African Diaspora Studies Department at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her Ph.D. in American Studies with a focus on photography and art in the United States in December 2019. Zelt works as an independent curator and as founding member of the curatorial collective INGZ. She has held positions with institutions such as The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; The Corcoran Gallery of Art; The Houston Center for Photorgaphy; and The Harry Ransom Center. She is also the author of articles, chapters, and essays on contemporary photography and photography and identity in the United States. Her manuscript "Looking and Looking Back: The Photograph, Blackness, Family, and Self-Representation in the Work of LaToya Ruby Frazier, Mickalene Thomas, and Njideka Akunyili Crosby" is in development for publication. She lives and works in Austin, TX.
