Janay Bookhart is a lens-based artist who engages the viewer through storytelling. Janay graduated with her B.S. in Photography from the University of Central Florida in 2018. She is a 2nd-year Candidate for a Master in Fine Art in Studio Art at the University of North Texas. Her creative journey has led her to a series called "Mattie's World," which focuses on her grandmother's things and how Alzheimer's affects African American families.
