Alessandra Sanguinetti was born in New York, 1968, lived and worked in Argentina from 1970 until 2003, and is currently based in San Francisco., A recipient of numerous awards: a Guggenheim Foundation fellowship, a Hasselblad Foundation Grant, Robert Gardner Fellowship. Her work is in major public and private collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art (NY), the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston., Her two books, "On the Sixth Day", 2005, and "the Adventures of Guille and Belinda", 2010, were published by Nazraeli Press., She is represented by Yossi Milo Gallery in New York, Ruth Benzacar Gallery in Buenos Aires, and is currently a member of Magnum Photos.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
