A Reflection on a Career with Julia Bradshaw

I retired from Oregon State University in June 2024, so I consider myself to be in a period of renewal and contemplation. In this presentation, I share my most recent art project "Survey" and also older projects that are meaningful signifiers as I seek a new path as an artist outside of an institutional home. Musing, I contemplate some of the different pathways available for an artist and community-builder outside an academic home. Along the way, I will introduce the work of artists who have redefined themselves outside of academia, who are my unwitting mentors.
