Creating a Student-Staffed Photobook Press in an Academic Structure with Evan Baden

In the fall of 2024 Composit Press will open its doors at Oregon State University. Composit will be a student-staffed photobook press that will operate within an academic structure. In the associated set of courses (Photobook Design & Production), students will work in a commercial-style book bindery space to design and produce photobooks. This talk will outline and detail the process of setting up a commercial press within the University as well as the process of design and production, including detailed budgets, equipment and materials costs, and timelines.
