How do we move photography off the critique wall and into the community where we study, teach, and live? How do you design a photography course that is fundamentally about collaboration and cross-disciplinary work? This talk will address the conceptual, practical, and challenging aspects of a collaborative photography elective I have taught at Longwood University since 2013. I will discuss each of the three, unique iterations of the course, the ways that collaboration was vital to each, while showing extensive examples of student work and outcomes.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
