Each of us carries photographers who have gone before us and as teachers we also carry students who follow us. Teaching, influence, community, mentorship, and legacy are relationships which shift over time and each of us as artists and educators negotiates these changes.
Pritchard and Lombardi will share their experiences as students, teachers, and mentors through their photographs, focusing on key moments in both their individual development as photographers and educators —through major turns and revelations— and on their shifting relationship over the past ten years; one which has gone from teacher-student, to mentor-mentee, to friend, but always with a side of mentor.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
Please join the conversation.
