Rob Dickes, associate professor at the University of Southern Indiana, is developing a photography program grounded in a fine art- and design-forward pedagogy. At his current university, he transformed a struggling program that offered as few as two photography courses per semester into a thriving curriculum of 11 courses, with five or more photography classes offered each semester in five short years. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums nationally and internationally, and his commercial photography has included clients such as Vogue, Harley-Davidson, Ocean Drive, and Pottery Barn.
