The Future of Photography: Critical Perspectives on AI

Hi, my name is Poppy Williams. I am a photography student currently attending Cranbrook Academy of Art, starting this Fall. I previously attended Colorado Mesa University with a BFA in Acting and directing. My current academic goal for the year is to find ways to integrate technology into my work, not only to scratch a hobby of mine but also to join the counterrevolution of big tech. I was born in the UK and moved to the States when I was young. Growing up in the Bay Area, I found myself at the forefront of technology and had ample access as a child. Then, after moving to Colorado over the last few years, I discovered the surge in technology post-COVID that had become non-serviceable and unwanted by mass consumers. That's when the resurgence of my interest in coding, electronics, and cyber-decks began.
