Christopher Meerdo is Assistant Professor of AI in the Visual Arts at The Ohio State University. His sculptural, image, and film work engages data archives, computational processes, digital forensics, synthetic media, and machine learning. He has exhibited and screened internationally at the Renaissance Society, Mattress Factory, FOAM Amsterdam, National Gallery of Kosovo, and DIS.art. Meerdo has held residencies at Skowhegan, Jan van Eyck Academie, Cité Internationale des Arts, SÍM, and Banff Centre. He has received awards from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, The Hopper Prize, and Silver Eye. His research has appeared in publications and on CBS News and the Discovery Channel.
