Amy Kim & Leah Schretenthaler - Altering Surfaces and Making the Optical Tangible
Amy Kim is an MFA candidate at Texas Tech University School of Art. Kim holds an MFA in arts administration from Texas Tech University School of Theatre and Dance and a BA in French from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in South Korea. Her work has been exhibited at the Lexington Art League and Yeiser Art Center in Kentucky, Photoplace Gallery in Vermont, and Ping Yao International Photo Festival in China. Amy was a 2017 recipient of the SPE Student Innovations in Imaging Awards. In 2018, Amy has been awarded a Graduate Research Funding Award, Summer Thesis Dissertation Award, and the Rick Dingus Graduate Fellowship. She was awarded First Place at the Texas Photographic Society student competition #tps New Visions and her work was recently featured on Lenscratch.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
