TRACY FISH
Tracy Fish, born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2012 with a B.A. in Art Studio and a concentration in photography. During her undergraduate career she has been Photo Editor for three college publications as well as Photo Director and Project Manager for the college's pre-professional studio. Fish won various awards including two-time finalist in Photographer's Forum Best of College Photography and a Student ADDY from the American Advertising Federation. She has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, most recently at the Pingyao International Photography Festival in China. While the core of her work is of the documentary style, she has most recently begun a more experimental path. Currently Tracy is pursuing an M.F.A. in Experimental and Documentary Arts at Duke University's Center for Documentary Studies
MARCELLO GAROFALO
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Marcello now calls Charleston home. Previous to restarting his college career in 2009, Marcello has had training in theater performance and film production. From 2003-2009 he co owned and operated Modica: Gelateria and Italian Cafe in Charleston,SC. Marcello has received awards for his designs from the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the American Advertising Federation and Graphis. Most recently, he has been involved with the Ashes2Art program doing 3D modeling and interface design for a custom developed gesture based learning platform. He has presented his work at the Computer Applications in Archeology(CAA) in Perth, Australia as well as Washington D.C. for Posters On The Hill, an undergraduate research competition held annually. Marcello is a proud father, espresso fanatic and tortured Cleveland sports fan.
TIM HODGE
Tim Hodge graduated in 2012 from Coastal Carolina University with a B.A. in Art Studio focusing in photography. While originally from Fort Ord, C.A., he was raised in Little River, S.C., and feels a strange and wild connection to his adopted home. He is also an alumnus of the New York Film Academy, and much of his recent work is based in experimental video. In May, Hodge traveled to China where he had the opportunity to follow up with a previous collaboration with the Nanjing University for the Arts. His work has been in exhibitions both in China and the US, most recently in the Pingyao International Photography Festival.
SCOTT MANN
Scott Mann is Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Coastal Carolina University with a focus on print design and typography. He received his M.F.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to coming to CCU Mann's main professional focus was as a practicing designer. As co-founder of Tangent Design Group, Inc., he worked with such clients as American Express Publishing, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Columbia 300, Baxter, Hannah & Friends Foundation, and Family Support America. He also spent four years as a Senior Designer at Pagliuco Design Company, a strategic branding and design agency in Chicago. In all these professional experiences, Mann used creative design to help clients add value to business.
EASTON SELBY
Talbot Easton Selby, Associate Professor of Photography, grew up in Mississippi. He received his B.F.A. from Delta State University and his M.F.A. from Clemson University. He has exhibited his work in many group and solo shows throughout the United States, and his work is in several collections including the permanent collection of Delta State University. Selby's work has also been published in Delta Magazine, Metropolis Magazine, and Canadian Art Magazine. He is also the 2008 recipient of the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters award for photography.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
