Description of Lecture:
An interest in how climate change reshapes the environment and thus affects culture led me to the Yup'ik Eskimo peoples of the Yukon Delta on the west coast of Alaska. I have been working on this long form documentary project for three years. It started as what I thought would be a straight forward visual story about a subsistence culture that is feeling the effects of climate change, what I found when I went for the rst time was anything but simple.
