Honored Educators Presentation

William Jenkins majored in economics at St. Lawrence University where, almost by chance, he enrolled in photography workshops by Minor White and Paul Caponigro. Having thus become serious about photography he attended several graduate schools, finally settling on the Visual Studies Workshop/State University of New York at Buffalo where he finally earned a master's degree. While this was going on he began to work at the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House where he eventually became Curator of Twentieth Century Photography. He has taught at ASU since 1979 and currently teaches classes in photography and in speaking and writing about photographs.
