Crystal McBrayer will lead an art-making adventure exploring the subtleties of the forest flora beneath the Teton's majesty. Following in the footsteps of Anna Atkins using cyanotype to document plants, participants will partake in a collaborative workshop where we study and reflect on our natural surroundings and plant life to make a responsive body of work to display at the end of the conference.
At previous SPE conferences, McBrayer has shared her knowledge and work in the Anthotype process (using plant pigment as a liquid emulsion), toning/staining using natural color from plants, lumens, as well as digital alternative output.
