I am among the ranks of artists who dedicate their creativity to environmental activism. In aworld where bad news overwhelms good news, it is understandable why many artists address these issues in contexts that are terrifying and depressing. While this approach is valid, it can alienate people who are unwilling to face or downright denying the existence of crisis. I believe in the power of humor, and that laughter can be a catalyst for thinking. Based on this philosophy, I created Windtopia, a conceptual, interdisciplinary exhibit and performance about a corporation that uses wind power to save the world from global warming.
