Kallie Pfeiffer lives and works in San Antonio, Texas. She is currently pursuing her Master of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Pfeiffer's current photographic work, Cairn, explores the concept of interpersonal relationships. She explores the role of domesticity and how it plays into the power of rituals that we both have and seek in our everyday lives. Her work also intends to engage a conversation between Romanticism and Cubism by taking tableau photography and exhibiting it in a tiled format in order to direct the viewer through a visual dialogue of perspectives, depths, and times.
Pfeiffer has exhibited her photographs throughout the Texas and Virginia area, including notable shows at the Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum, the University of Texas at San Antonio Art Gallery, Museo Guadelupe, The Kiernan Gallery, The Michael and Noemi Neidorff Art Gallery, Art SA Gallery, and the San Antonio Art League Museum.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
