Rafael Goldchain's work has been shown across Canada, Mexico, Chile, the United States, Cuba, Germany, France, Italy, and the Czech Republic. His work is in the collections of the Biblioteque Nationale (Paris), the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and Museum of Modern Art (NYC). Goldchain's work is the subject of two book monographs: Nostalgia for an Unknown Land (Lumiere Press, 1989) and I Am My Family (Princeton Architectural Press 2008), and of a documentary film entitled Beautifully Broken: The Life and Times of Rafael Goldchain (Willing Mind Productions, Vladimir Kabelik, Director 2013). A Canadian Latin-American Jewish artist Goldchain received an MA (Art History) from the University of Toronto, an MFA (Visual Arts) from York University and a BAA (Ryerson University). He teaches in the Honours Bachelor of Photography program at Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
