- Richard Sharum
Saturday, October 30 - 1:00PM to 1:50PM
Virtual Lecture / Zoom
In this presentation I will be discussing a brief history of my work and life, what led me to the rural countryside of Cuba and what I discovered there. I will also discuss a brief history of the Campesino people and their role in Cuban history, as well as why I felt making a book about them was important during this time of national transition in Cuba. If there is time at the end of my discussion, I will speak briefly about my current long-term project, Spina Americana (American Spine), and how it is within the same vein as Campesino Cuba.
