As we start this next decade, there will be numerous workforce development changes which pose questions about how to best prepare the next generation of our photography focused undergraduate students and trained alumni. A multi-institution workgroup of seven diverse photography coordinators held a series of virtual focus groups to consider the future of photographic education, address the changes happening in the field of photography, and re-think how photography curricula can meet those new changes. Our panel will present considerations on recruitment, retention, professional preparation, and curriculum development, all of which to best prepare our students for the next decade.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
